From what I hear, the new tablets are all the rage. No one seems to be interested in buying desktop computers any more, and now even laptops may become obsolete if the tablets perform as well as promised.
Of course, Apple Computer introduced the concept with their iPad, but other companies have recently come out with their own designs. The Motorola Xoom is priced competitively and has some additional features not provided on the Apple model, such as a camera function on both the front and the back of the table, and a flash on the one in the back.
The price tag seems to range between $800 and $1,200, which is the same ballpark as a good laptop. I’ll have to go to the local electronics store and see them for myself. I might want one.
