The New Xoom
Tuesday, April 19th, 2011 | Author:

From what I hear, the new tablets are all the rage. No one seems to be interested in buying desktop computers any more, and now even laptops may become obsolete if the tablets perform as well as promised.

Of course, Apple Computer introduced the concept with their iPad, but other companies have recently come out with their own designs. The Motorola Xoom is priced competitively and has some additional features not provided on the Apple model, such as a camera function on both the front and the back of the table, and a flash on the one in the back.

The price tag seems to range between $800 and $1,200, which is the same ballpark as a good laptop. I’ll have to go to the local electronics store and see them for myself. I might want one.

Beware of the Flu!
Tuesday, December 01st, 2009 | Author:

As always, there are some really mean people in the world. The latest example of this is hackers who are using the swine flu epidemic to spread their viruses. Many people have been affected by this latest scam. I hope that everyone will be very careful about the sites they choose to visit and the e-mails they want to open. I always say that its better to be safe than sorry.

A safe haven
Sunday, August 23rd, 2009 | Author:

The world has changed in many ways since I was growing up. One thing that has really changed a lot is the things you can see and hear on TV. I find myself constantly disappointed with the sex, violence, and foul language that dominate the airwaves these days. That’s why I was glad when I found a site called christianchatcity.com. I wanted to find a safe place where my children could enjoy christian chat without worrying about them being influenced by filth.

I must admit that I was a little hesitant about the site at first. I didn’t want my kids to be influenced by some crazy cult. I spent some time on the site myself and found it to be full of people who had fairly mainstream ideas about religion. After I was satisfied that the site was OK, I let my kids on it. Now I am glad they have a place where they can discuss religion in an informal setting. I think it will help them to grow as Christians and become better people. Thanks to this site for providing a safe haven in a world full of bad!

Finding that Part!
Saturday, May 09th, 2009 | Author:

Every year when summer rolls around, we always are sure to use the air-conditioner in our car. One of the problems that we had encountered was that our car is a diesel. This makes it difficult to find readily available parts sometimes. We were fortunate to find a solution to that problem.

After searching around for a long time, we were able to find the diesel fuel pump we needed. It was on a website called dieselpartspros.com. They had a wide selection of parts and had just the one we needed. I was glad to have a warranty as well. I knew I had found a winning company when I called them on the phone. They were courteous and very knowledgeable. I am always glad to report on good companies!

Passwords
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 | Author:

Throughout the years, I have acquired a number of passwords. Lately, I seem to have had a problem remembering them all. Some that I use all the time are the ones that I know by heart. There are others though that I seldom use and have forgotten. My inbox is full of password reminders for these troubled sites.

That’s not my only problem. I also seem to have trouble remembering the password reminder answers. What’s the name of my first pet? My first school? It seems that need to develop some sort of system to remember them all! I like the new technologies as they make life easier and faster. But some things we do never seen to change, Such as human error!
