The whole family was decked out in green. It was a little difficult for everyone to find something to wear but we all did in the end. We piled in the car and took off headed for Norfolk, Virginia. That’s where we waited for the parade to start and it was worth all the trouble. The parade was great and there were many sights to see.

We also purchased some green beads and hats to round out our costumes and we looked like green monsters. There were people everywhere and it was hard to get around but we found a good spot eventually. It was a great family day and I am looking forward to next year’s parade.

I guess Santa is home taking a nap after last night’s work. He must be very tired after delivering all those gifts. He did a good job as our tree was packed with boxes and bags of every description. No one was forgotten and we all had a great time discovering what was inside of the wrapped presents.

We are now getting ready to start cooking and I know that will be fun. Everybody will soon be ready to eat the turkey that is in the oven. It smells so good and the aroma is floating throughout the house. It’s going to be a great day and I hope everyone out there is having a great day as well.

Thanksgiving, wow what a day! Family, friends and all the fixings! I am sure everyone has their favorites for this holiday. Mine, hands down would have to be the smell of turkey roasting in the oven all day.
Many people have a family tradition for this holiday, and many could be very different from yours or mine, but, any way that it is celebrated, it is a great time for family and friends to come together and give thanks.

Yesterday I drove past a church and there were a bunch of little kids with Easter baskets running all over their lawn hunting for Easter eggs. I thought that was really sweet. I’m glad the church gives the little kids fun things to do and builds friendships among the children and the families in their congregation.

Today is my younger brother’s birthday. It is easy to remember, because everyone in my family was born on an odd day in an odd month. Isn’t that odd? lol
