Working hard

One thing that has been on my mind lately is a test I have to take for work. I have been studying every night for about an hour in hopes of passing the test. I have only another week to study and so I cannot put it off any longer. I must say that it has become a bit of a strain and my nerves are getting raw! I’ll sure be glad when the test is over and I can finally relax.

Since the Tiger woods story is all over the news, we all knew that there would be repercussions for him. As bad as all the negative media was for his image, now the financial disaster is beginning. The first sponsor to drop Tiger from its rolls is Accenture Ltd. The have stated that he is no longer a person that they wish to represent them. So far, there has been no comment from Tiger on the situation though it is natural that he would be disappointed.

Taking Advantage

I had a birthday recently and a friend of mine from work sent me an e-mail. Now I know it was nice of her to do so, but I always think it’s a little lazy to just send an e-mail. Whenever I want to recognize an important event, I always go the extra mile and send a card or letter which is a little more personal.

I was glad when I found a site called 123print.co.uk that has a wide selection of postcards to choose from. They are experts at postcard printing and you are able to customize whatever you order. The price is more than reasonable and the quality of the cards is excellent. I wish that everyone could take advantage of what this site has to offer.

Saving some Time

Every month, I pay a lot of bills. It usually takes me three or four hours to get everything together and write the checks. Then I have to address all the envelopes and fill them out. I set my mind towards finding a way to shorten this process and found one easy solution. I went online and found a cool site called 123print.com. That’s where I purchased some address labels that were really nice.

Now when I pay my bills, I spend a lot less time doing so. Instead of getting a cramped hand writing my address over and over, I just stick my labels on the envelope and go. Since I was on the site anyway, I checked out some of the many other items they had as well. I think I’ll return to this site soon!

Helping the bottom line

Things around our office have been tight for quite some time. Since the economy is failing, we’ve had to cut corners wherever possible. We asked our employees to come up with their best ideas for saving money. One of the best ideas was to switch to using Compact fluorescent bulbs in order to use less electricity. This will help save us some money as well.

There are other benefits to switching out our old bulbs. By using the more efficient bulbs, we will help our earth by using less energy. I am always glad to find situations that are win\win. This is one of those times. I’m glad I have such intelligent people working for me.

Friends are good!

One thing that I’ve learned in this world is that when it comes to business, friends are good. I have a friend who owns a hot dog stand. Every time he makes a sale, he hands out custom business cards for his friends. They supply the cards and he hands them out. The idea has worked beautifully and the amount of business generated by the cards is amazing.

In the world of business, getting your name out there is always a chore. It’s good to take advantage of every opportunity to spread the word about your business. It’s hard to believe that a simple piece of cardboard with your name on it can earn you money. I’m glad I was able to get in on the action and make a few bucks of my own!

Using space wisely

Since our office has limited space, we have been looking for new ways to utilize the space we have. We ended up ordering a workbench and it has worked out well. It turns out that a lot of space can be saved by utilizing the proper equipment. We were glad to find a company called formaspace.com that specialized in making all forms of custom furniture.

The best part about the whole deal was that it was delivered so quickly. It seemed that no sooner than we had ordered it, it had arrived. The bench has proven to be useful in a variety of ways. We have several employees who want a bench of their own. Now that we know what the benefits of using this service are, we will be able to take advantage of it in the future.

Recently our office stumbled onto a money saving idea. We found a site that provides brand name copiers for less. It turns out that many copiers may be refurbished to their original condition. These copiers are then resold with the same warranties as any brand new copier would be. We were so glad to find a great way to save on the new copiers we needed for our office.

The site is called copiersrefurbished.com. They sell many of the top brands of copiers online. These copiers come with a warranty and in many cases can be shipped for free. We purchased two Ricoh Copiers for our office. We were delighted to find that they were delivered so quickly and worked so well. Since we were so satisfied with the results, we thought of new ways to take advantage of this service.

Our company has offices all around the country. We thought that from now on, whenever we needed a copier we would purchase it from this site. The savings over time will add up and increase our bottom line. I was also glad to be given credit for this idea and it certainly made me look good in front of the boss! I am glad I am so smart!

I was looking online and found a pretty good article about job hunting. They outlined a few tips to help make it easier to find a job. Since I have hired a few people myself, I thought the tips were pretty good in describing what employers look for.

A new image!

There have been many changes around our office lately. Our company is growing rapidly and was in need of some maintenance. We have been working on rebranding our public image and trying to increase the public’s awareness of our products and services. We have a new logo and theme which we have just started using. Along with these other efforts, we have decided to begin the policy of wearing company uniforms. We feel this will help us stay in the public’s eye.

The best part about this plan is that it will be beneficial to our employees. They will be able to save money and they won’t have to worry about washing their clothes. Our uniform provider does all the work. They measure each employee and provide them with top quality clothing which they deliver each week. Every uniform is maintained by them and replaced when necessary. They also keep track of the garments that are issued so that there are no problems with that. Our employees our very happy about the new program and how it works.

Our company is now almost completely revamped. With our new look and logo, we have been able to create a new image. All of our employees are looking good in their new workwear and the public has given us positive feedback on these changes. The workers look so much more professional when they go about their daily routines. We are glad that everyone is now better able to do their jobs and have one less thing to worry about.
