Memorial Day
Sunday, May 24th, 2009 | Author:

I would like to honor all the soldiers and airmen who died defending our country. Everyone who has served in the armed forces deserves all the honors we can afford them. The people who have given their lives in defense of our nation deserve our respect and remembrance. Each year, we dedicate this one day to those souls who made the ultimate sacrifice for this land.

I hope that everyone will reflect on these citizens and the sacrifices they made for us. Our freedom depends on those service members who do their jobs and defend the values we adore. I hope that everyone will proudly display the flag in honor of these heroes!

Cleaning the house
Monday, May 18th, 2009 | Author:

Today we spent a lot of time cleaning the house. It doesn’t take that long once you get started, it’s the getting started that takes a long time. We vacuumed all the rooms after moving the furniture and dusted the shelves as well. I swept up the kitchen floor witch really needed a cleaning as the cat hairs were building up.

It’s always a long process when we start to clean. The one thing I really don’t like is the bathrooms. I know it has to be done, but it’s really a nasty job. Anyway, after all was said and done, the house looked a lot better. I am glad that we were able to make the house presentable to anyone who drops by. I think I will take a much needed break and watch some T.V!

A new image!
Sunday, May 17th, 2009 | Author:

There have been many changes around our office lately. Our company is growing rapidly and was in need of some maintenance. We have been working on rebranding our public image and trying to increase the public’s awareness of our products and services. We have a new logo and theme which we have just started using. Along with these other efforts, we have decided to begin the policy of wearing company uniforms. We feel this will help us stay in the public’s eye.

The best part about this plan is that it will be beneficial to our employees. They will be able to save money and they won’t have to worry about washing their clothes. Our uniform provider does all the work. They measure each employee and provide them with top quality clothing which they deliver each week. Every uniform is maintained by them and replaced when necessary. They also keep track of the garments that are issued so that there are no problems with that. Our employees our very happy about the new program and how it works.

Our company is now almost completely revamped. With our new look and logo, we have been able to create a new image. All of our employees are looking good in their new workwear and the public has given us positive feedback on these changes. The workers look so much more professional when they go about their daily routines. We are glad that everyone is now better able to do their jobs and have one less thing to worry about.

Armed Forces Day!!
Saturday, May 16th, 2009 | Author:

Each year we dedicate one day to our armed forces. The dedicated men and women who serve their country should have the support of the entire United States. No matter which branch a person serves in, they have gained our honor and respect. They defend our country from any threat in the world.

I am glad to support our military members and all the sacrifices they have made. I want to thank our former president Harry Truman for announcing this holiday on Feb. 20, 1950. I hope that everyone will join with me in supporting our troops!

The Grocery Bill!!!
Sunday, May 10th, 2009 | Author:

As we usually go to the store each week, we were surprised at the amount of money we spent this week. I think our problem was that we took the entire family. After each person had picked out the items that they wanted, the cart was full to overflowing. I am glad that we were able to use up a lot of coupons we had saved, but it didn’t seem to make a dent in the final bill.

I think that next time we will have to have more self control. It’s ok to splurge now and then, but this is getting ridiculous. I know that we have to stay on some kind of a budget and this week’s grocery bill didn’t help at all! I also believe that next time we go; we will leave the kids at home!!
