The other day, a funny thing happened. Everybody in the house was on the phone. I was talking with my sister on the phone in the kitchen. Kenny walked by, with cell phone in hand talking to someone from work. Lisa (as usual) was on her phone with her latest boyfriend. Kenny Jr. was talking with a friend as well.

It sure is funny how the times have changed. When I was a girl, we only had one phone for the whole house. We had to fight for its use. With the advent of the cell phone, now everybody can be in the loop. Got to go, the phone is ringing!

Around our office, space is limited. Our building used to be of sufficient size, but due to growth has become too small. We were looking into ways to make better use of the space we had. After researching the issue, I think we found an answer.

We found a company that makes laboratory furniture. By taking advantage of their designs, we were able to eliminate some furniture all together. Our workers like it as they are able to have all they need in one place. I wish I could find something like this for my house!

I found a little thing to help people learn about themselves, and others as well. You have to write down three words that describe yourself. You can only pick three, so be careful what you choose! I will start since I brought it up.

1. Fun.
I always thought that I was a fun person to be around. I enjoy many things and am pretty easy going. I can play a joke, as well as take one!

2. Wise.
I’m not saying smart, I know many smarter than me. I’m saying wise because I’ve seen a lot in my life and with age comes wisdom!

3. Dependable.
I think I’m a pretty dependable person. You can always count on me to be there
when it’s needed. I’m always on time and steady as a rock!

I hope you will give this a try. It’s not as easy as it sounds! It is a lot of fun though and it’s a great project for you and your kids!

A friend of mine has recently become single. Joan came through a divorce and now is ready to begin a new relationship. It’s hard for her to meet new people as she is very busy. One thing I like to do is to go to yard sales. Whenever I wake up on a Saturday morning and have no major plans, I will scan the paper for yard sales. It’s fun to drive around and check out what others are getting rid of.

To be sure, there is a lot of stuff that is just trash. But, once in a while I’ll find that treasure. Last Saturday, I found a very nice kitchen clock. It’s just what I was looking for! It is perfect for my house. The price was right and I made the deal. I am looking forward to next Saturday and the deals I will find!
