Fun in the woods

My son Kyle is into paintball. It’s all the rage with the kids these days. Kyle and his friends go to the local paintball course. The boys especially enjoy dressing up like soldiers when they play. He has all kinds of gear he wears. He has Khakis and a face shield and boots.

It’s easy to buy for Kyle on his birthday now. He always wants more paintball gear. Now he wants something called Malice Clips. I asked what it was and he said they are used to attach different pieces of equipment together. I told him that there were many other things that he could have, but he insists that’s what he wants. Well OK, thanks for saving me the time and trouble of shopping for your birthday!

Another pet peeve…

On occasion, I may leave early from work for an appointment or whatever. When I return, it’s no surprise to find that someone has put something on my desk that needs my attention. What really bugs me is when they put the papers on my chair! I don’t know why it bugs me so much, but it does!! It just seems so rude to me! C’mon people, give me a break!

What fun…

Anne and Roger are a young couple who moved in down the street not too long ago. They had some great news. They are expecting their first child in September. They are quite excited as it’s their first and they are pulling out all the stops. They still don’t have a name yet, but that will come.

Anne is making plans for the days ahead and asked if I knew where to get a good buy on some maternity clothes. That was easy! I told her to go to Kikisfashions.com; they have one of the best websites I’ve seen. They have all the trendy new styles at bargain prices. They also have a great selection as well. As I walked home, the memories of having my own children reminded me of the great experience they were going through!

Boats…

When I was growing up, we always had a boat. My parents would take us all over the place looking for new places to “put in” and ride around to see what was there.
We spent many a weekend on the water. I learned how to water-ski like all the rest of my brothers and sisters and still enjoy it when I can.

You do have to be careful when boating. There are many possible dangers for the unwary. There were a few rules we had to follow such as learning how to swim and wearing a life preserver. Despite the hazards involved, we all lived to tell the tale and enjoyed our early years learning the joys of water.

Treasured memories

As you may remember from an earlier post, Cristina will have her graduation soon. I had forgotten that we needed to take pictures. When it comes to cameras, we still live in the dark ages! I went looking through some boxes for my old camera, but found that is really old and had no film! We started looking into getting a new camera and went looking online. I had been hearing about the new digital cameras they are coming out with and decided to find out more.

After doing some research on the subject, I was convinced that getting a digital camera was the way to go. The pictures taken would have a clearer and sharper image than older technologies. I was also glad to find that I could download my pictures right onto my computer. One of the sites I visited was 42nd Street Photo on Myspace. That’s where I viewed the latest cameras available. I was able to choose from their wide selection of digital cameras.

I’m glad I remembered to be prepared. Being able to get pictures of this memorable occasion that will be treasured for years is a great feeling. I just hope I remember to take the lens cap off!
