I know that there must be a lot of Irish in me – and that’s a good thing. In fact, on St. Patrick’s Day, almost everyone I know claims to have some Irish in their blood. It’s all in good fun – so let’s all be Irish today!

Around our house, the TV is central to everyone’s lives. I like to watch my movies. It is important to me to have a wide variety of movies to watch. We used to use cable, but when we heard about one of those Direct TV Deals, we knew we would have to switch.
The biggest thing that sold us was that they had 265 channels to choose from. That was important to me because I had the ability to pick and choose the channels I wanted.
My boyfriend and Kyle like to watch their sports. They especially enjoy the NFL Sunday Ticket feature. That way, they can access all the games. Luckily, just about the time we had decided to switch, we were able to take advantage of one of those Direct TV specials.
Now, not only do the boys get all the football they need, they are able to enjoy a wide variety of other sports as well.
High definition is all the rage today. Once you start watching the HD channels, everything else seems inferior. We were glad to find that not only are all the local channels in HD, but most of the premium and sports channels are too! I told everyone in my family to keep an eye out for DirecTV offers. That way, they can enjoy all the same things we do.
As I had decided to move our bookcase from the living room to the family room, I needed to unload all the books, videos, and records out in order to lighten it up enough to move. Whereupon I had put all the records into a box to sort out later, I finally decided to do so. Little did I know that it would become such a trip down memory lane!
As I sorted through each album, a new memory came to mind. It’s funny how that it was not only the music contained on each one that brought back memories, but it was also the people I had spent the time with. I thought about people that I had forgotten about somewhere along the way and the things that seemed to be so important at the time!
It’s funny because I have a lot of this same music on my iPod, but it was only when I actually saw the album covers is when the memories were triggered. Those were the days!!
My brother’s job keeps him moving around a lot. It seems like no sooner than he gets settled into one place, they move him to another. In the last four years he has lived in three different places. He started out in Phoenix Arizona, and then he was in Birmingham Alabama, now he lives in Memphis Tennessee. He claims he doesn’t mind too much, but it’s a lot of work to get his TV hooked up.
He was complaining that he was having a lot of problems when dealing with the cable company. Their service was costly and frequently went out. I was talking to him on the phone and pointed out that instead of using cable, he should check out the possibility of taking advantage of Direct TV. He said that he had heard about it, but didn’t really know what it was. I told him that they install a satellite dish on or around your house to pick up the channels. One of the good things about this is that there are many Direct TV options.
He watches a lot of sports. He likes to watch them in high definition so that he can see all the details. They also have a wide variety of movie channels as well as all the local shows. I told him to at least check out the possibility of using DirecTV. I hope he follows my advice and will be able to get the most for his money. I also invited him by so that he could get a home cooked meal!
The weather has been terrible lately. It’s been raining for three days. Driving to work is not too bad as it is light enough to see. It’s driving home that bothers me. By the time I’m ready to leave work, it is dark out. Driving in the dark when it’s raining is hard to do. It seems that a lot of other people have a problem with it as well. I passed by one accident on the way home and was almost in one myself. I hope they were alright. I’ll sure be glad when the sun returns!
