It’s so relaxing…
Monday, March 30th, 2009 | Author:

One of the best things I like about my house is the front porch. Since the weather is finally breaking, we had a chance to sit out for awhile and unwind. Several years ago my boyfriend had installed a swing and I love it! It’s so relaxing to just sit out front swinging and watching the day turn into night. It’s still cool enough that there are not a lot of bugs and it’s just warm enough to be enjoyable.

I did notice however that there are a few cobwebs that need clearing out and that the porch could stand a coat of paint. I guess I’ll have to add that to my list of things to do. But for now, I’ll just enjoy it while I can!

Good luck friend

I just wanted to mention my friend Richie. He had some unfortunate news and is currently in the hospital. It seems his health turned south and he is struggling to get better. I was able to talk with his wife and though the outlook is not great, there is hope for the future.

Richie is a great guy and we all hope he will get better soon! I miss his antics around the office and the days are a little drearier without him. I just want him to know that I’m thinking of him in these hard times.

The veneer mystery…
Saturday, March 28th, 2009 | Author:

Around the office, all the girls seem to notice every little thing. If someone changes their hair, we all know. There was something different about Bob. We all noticed it, but no one could put their finger on what it was. He seemed to be dressing the same and his hair was not changed, it was quite the mystery.

I got to talking with Bob and asked him in a round about way, “Anything new going on?” that’s when he told me that he had cosmetic dentistry done. Now it hit me like a ton of bricks! His smile was so much brighter, and that crooked tooth he used have was gone!

He told me all about it. He said he had been thinking about getting it done for a long time. His dentist had recommended that he get some dental veneers that would help the way he looked. Not only would they brighten his smile, they would hide the spaces and cracks of his teeth.

Bob is a lot happier now. Everywhere he goes he smiles and smiles. All the girls said wonderful things about him when they found out as well. We were all glad to solve the mystery that had plagued us for so long. Who would have thought it was something as simple as veneers! I’m glad the thing is over and we can all get back to work. The only thing that remains to remind us is that beautiful smile!

Earth hour
Saturday, March 28th, 2009 | Author:

It’s finally arrived! Tonight at 8.30 pm, everyone will turn out their lights for one hour. In a stand against global warming, all people who care about the environment will make their voices heard.

I plan to support this noble cause and will do my share to help. I’ve already told the kids what to expect and they are also in support. I encourage everyone to do the same. I believe we can all contribute and a little sacrifice never hurts!

Loaning a hand…
Friday, March 27th, 2009 | Author:

With Cristina finally completing college, I was thinking of how lucky we were to take advantage of the student loans she acquired. With the cost of college so high these days, we could never have done it on our own. It was very fortunate that we had help in getting the loans we needed. We were able to work the cost into the budget we had planned.

The college was very helpful in this respect. The coordinator steered us in the right direction and provided us with ways to find the information we needed. With a little work, you will find that there are many options to choose from. it is possible to get a Stafford loan as well as a private student loan. We took advantage of the things that worked best for us.

Cristina is graduated now and we are so proud of her. We know that she will have a great future, in part due to the acquisition of her college loans. We now have a plan to start paying back her loans, but are glad that she was able to get some loans at a very low rate. This will help alleviate the overall cost. We will need that help as Sarah will be ready for college next year!
